Schools & clubs

Pottery, delivered to your classroom.

We bring everything — bisque pieces, paints, aprons, tablecloths and the clean-up. You bring the kids.

What we offer schools

Four ways we work with you

01

In-school sessions

A class set of pottery painting, run in your hall or art room. 60 or 90 minute slots. Curriculum-linked themes available — Roman pots, Tudor tiles, Christmas ornaments, end-of-year mugs.

02

After-school clubs

A 6-week pottery painting block, taught by us. Each child builds a little collection — coaster, mug, plate, animal — and takes them home glazed and fired.

03

SEN-friendly workshops

Calm-paced, sensory-aware sessions designed with SENCOs. Small groups, low stimulation, lots of texture and choice. Inclusive every step.

04

Studio visits

Bring the class to us. Walking-distance friendly for Strabane schools, with toilets, parking for the bus, and a quiet break-out corner.

What's included

The whole kit — sorted.

Every booking comes with bisque pottery for each child, ceramic paints and brushes, water pots, sponges, aprons, and table coverings. We arrive 30 minutes early to set up, run the session, then pack everything down and leave the room cleaner than we found it.

We take the painted pieces away, glaze and fire them in our kiln, and return them within 7–10 days. Every piece is food-safe and dishwasher-safe when it comes back.

Beyond the school gates

Clubs, care groups, youth work

Brownies, Cubs & Scouts

Badge-friendly sessions designed around art, craft and self-care badges. Can run as one-off evenings or short blocks.

Care home visits

Gentle, low-pressure sessions for residents. Beautiful for dementia-friendly groups — the tactile side is calming and the finished pieces become keepsakes.

Youth groups

Teen-friendly sessions with darker palettes, edgier pieces, and zero pressure to make something "nice". We work with several local youth projects already.

Teacher questions

The bits you asked about

How much space do we need?

A hall, dining room or large classroom is grand. Tables for the kids, a sink nearby, and a corner for us to set up. We bring all the table coverings.

How messy is it really?

Less than you'd think. The paints are water-based and wash out of clothes easily. Aprons are included. We sweep and wipe down before we leave.

How far in advance do we need to book?

Aim for 3–4 weeks ahead, especially for end of term. We can sometimes squeeze in a last-minute slot — just ask.

Can pieces be linked to topic work?

Yes — we love this. Roman pots, Tudor tiles, Egyptian canopic jars, Christmas decorations, Mother's Day mugs, end-of-year keepsakes. Just tell us the theme.

Do you do free taster sessions?

We can do a free 20-minute taster for one class if you're considering a full block — gives the kids and the staff a feel for it.

Want us in school?

Tell us the year group, rough date and what topic you're working on. We'll come back with a proposal within two working days.
