From the bay

Mulroy Bay mussels

The bay's sheltered, nutrient-rich water makes it one of Ireland's better places to grow rope mussels. They are harvested here and served in restaurants around the route - which is about as short as a supply chain gets.

McNutt of Donegal, up the road in Downings, has been weaving here for decades. The mill shop is worth the stop even if you are not buying.
