About the Stud

Cloontuskert Stud is a family-run equine facility based in the townland of Cloontuskert on the outskirts of Roscommon, Ireland. Owned and run by Damien Gill, the stud has built a reputation within the Connemara pony community for breeding and producing quality registered stock.

Our horses have been shown and inspected through the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society (CPBS), and our stock has competed with success at shows across the country — including Cloontuskert Earl, winner of the inaugural ISA All-Ireland 4 & 5-year-old Ridden Connemara class.

Breeding to our registered Connemara stallion, with a proven track record in the show ring and in the breed inspection system.

Young Stock & Foals

Quality Connemara foals and young stock bred on-site, raised on our own Roscommon pasture from birth.

Our Stallion

Western Boy — Class 1 Dun Connemara Stallion

Owned and stood at Cloontuskert Stud, Western Boy is a Class 1 registered Dun Connemara stallion with the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society, passing on strong conformation, colour and temperament to his progeny.
