From a single-storey extension to a factory floor, every project is handled personally — through design, planning and Building Regulations.
Sympathetic, well-detailed additions that sit comfortably with the house you already have.
Stone barns and redundant farm buildings reworked into characterful homes and workspaces.
One-off, individually designed houses taken from first sketch through to completed build.
Offices, factories, warehouses and farm buildings designed around how they'll actually be used.
Applications prepared with close knowledge of local Planning Policy and a strong record of approval.
Energy performance assessments to satisfy Building Regulations and design in efficiency from the outset.
“Ensuring every project is as sustainable and energy efficient as practically possible is at the centre of how we design.” Colin Lindsay — Principal
C.T. Lindsay Chartered Architect Ltd was founded in 2005 by Colin Lindsay, a graduate of Queen’s University Belfast who qualified as a Chartered Architect in 2000. Earlier years in practices across Newry and Portadown built experience across a broad spread of work — from small residential extensions and one-off bespoke houses to housing developments, banks, offices, factories, warehouses, churches and community buildings.
Based in rural Co. Armagh, the practice now undertakes work throughout Northern Ireland, with a consistently high success rate securing Planning Approval — built on close, current knowledge of local Planning Policy. Every project is still led personally by Colin, from the first site visit through to the finished building.
The practice is based off the Marlacoo Road near Richhill — but the drawing board travels. Recent and ongoing work spans:
