Who We Are
Founded in 1961, Buncrana Hearts Football Club — known to everyone as “The Hearts” — has been at the centre of grassroots football on the Inishowen Peninsula for more than six decades. We've called Castle Park home since 1968, and today welcome just over 400 members across our Soccer Tots, youth and senior sections.
We're proud holders of the FAI Club Mark award, recognising our commitment to safe, well-run and welcoming football for every member of our community, alongside development partnerships with Derry City FC and Preston North End.

Buncrana Hearts Football Club is founded, becoming a cornerstone of football on the Inishowen Peninsula.
The club moves to its permanent home at Castle Park, Buncrana Youth Club.
The Hearts win the Derry & District Treble.
A second Treble follows, this time in the Inishowen League.
Buncrana Hearts become a founding member of the Ulster Senior League.
The club claims the Ulster Senior League and Buncrana Summer Cup double.
Over 400 members strong, holders of the FAI Club Mark award, and a proud development partner of Derry City FC and Preston North End.
