Building a stronger, healthier and more connected Ballykeel — through youth programmes, support for older residents, and community-led events for everyone on the estate.
Formed in 2020 during the Covid crisis to support local residents when it mattered most, Ballykeel 2 & District Community Association has grown into a trusted voice for the estate — working in partnership with local voluntary and statutory agencies to deliver real support on the ground.
From looking after vulnerable older residents to giving young people positive activities and a path away from drug and alcohol misuse, our volunteers are focused on one thing: a healthier, safer and more connected Ballykeel for everyone.
Practical, people-first initiatives run by local volunteers who know the estate best.
Refurbished toys collected, restored and distributed to low-income families across Ballykeel every Christmas.
Programmes focused on young people's personal and professional development, keeping them engaged and supported.
Health awareness and education initiatives promoting positive physical and mental health across the community.
Sports and physical activity initiatives that give residents of all ages a reason to get active and get together.
Practical help and regular contact for vulnerable older residents living across the estate.
Family days, virtual events and estate-wide gatherings that bring Ballykeel together throughout the year.
Our home base for meetings, programmes and events — accessible facilities for the local and wider community, right in the heart of the estate.
Whether you'd like to volunteer, refer someone for support, or just find out what's on — we'd love to hear from you.
